A feature documentary directed by John Philp and Matthew Carnahan and narrated by Susan Sarandon.
Rudy
Giuliani is a giant figure on America's political landscape, based in part on his glowing reputation as "America's Mayor".
But Giuliani had a much less favorable reputation during most of the
eight years he ran New York City.
Rudyland
explores the roller-coaster relationship New Yorkers have with their
controversial and now-celebrated former mayor. The film takes us back
to early 2001. Giuliani's contentious reign is coming to a close, and
some New Yorkers can't wait to see him go. Then comes September 11th.
Suddenly the most divisive and combative figure in the city emerges as
an international symbol of leadership and unity. Will he one day go on to
become the next leader of the free world?
